1984 SUZANNE FARRELL w/ Chicago City Ballet “Eight by Adler“

Suzanne Farrell, principal ballerina of the New York City Ballet, toured with the Chicago City Ballet in 1984 as Guest Artist, a collaboration that resulted in an Emmy award. Maria Tallchief was the founder of the CCB and at the time of this performance was co-artistic director with Paul Mejia, the choreographer of “Eight by Adler“, a suite of tunes by Richard Adler. The video you’re watching is the first of those eight segments. The venue for this enchanting performance was an architectural gem from 1926 - the elegant Rialto Square Theater in Joliet, Illinois.
