Examining a 160-Year-Old Antique Victorian Bodice // What a Teenager Wore in the 1860’s

Let’s take a look at one of the oldest pieces in my antique clothing collection! This lovely 160-year-old bodice would have been worn by a teenager or young woman in the 1860’s. It is the most darling little thing, made of plaid silk and decorated with bows, and is highly padded in the bust. Let’s take a close look and see how it was made! Apparently this bodice seeped into my subconscious. Doesn’t it kind of look like my new plaid 1830’s dress? *Get to know me better* My instagram: Become a Patron!
