With 2022 on record as the Canadian artist’s most prolific year to date, the Montreal resident and Phenomena label boss would begin 2023 with ’Wander’. Released in February, the two-track showcase saw a further evolution in sound for Elias, as he continued on an explorative path under the melodic house and techno umbrella. A broader, more timeless approach without losing focus on the dancefloor would win over the likes of Mind Against and Nick Warren. Now, following a well received remix of Blake Walker’s ’The Highlands’, Elias returns to his Phenomena imprint with a two-track showcase entitled ’Break The Silence’. As the techno rhythms and riding percussion of opener ’Break The Silence’ unfold, it’s clear that Elias’ craft is continuing to evolve. Muscular basslines and punchy beats cleverly co-ax with astral hooks and deconstructed vocals, as an epic wave of sonic energies takes shape.
