Full title reads: “Abyssinia - latest from war front“. Italian army advances into southern Abyssinia (Ethiopia, Italian East Africa). Various shots of Italian soldiers shifting huge slabs of rock - they are reinforcing their positions for the expected fighting in the months ahead. One soldier is seen carving a statue of a fox from a discarded boulder, senior officers watch him. Various shots of piece of heavy artillery being positioned in gun emplacement. Various shots of army camp. Gangs of soldiers are producing thousands of loaves of bread; we see some kneading the dough, others use carts to tip newly baked bread onto large heap. Various shots of herds of cattle with black African shepherds. More shots of bread production; loaves are loaded onto mules. Note: according to old paperwork this item should be in 36/12.
