During the trip I continued challenging my Chinese and Korean skills, and went to a local Korean food market where I had a chance to practice Korean with native Korean speakers but there were also some Chinese shops there with native Chinese speakers, and I talked to them as well. Needless to say, they were really surprised to find out how good my Chinese was! Check out the video and if you’re learning Chinese or Korean, try to watch it without the subtitles! This is real life speech and real “living“ examples of both of these languages - something that’s not that easy to find since most of the Chinese and Korean textbooks honestly have pretty garbage dialogues and vocabulary that’s hardly anyone uses in real life.
