Item title reads - State Opening of the Northern Irish Parliament by H.M. The King. Belfast, Ireland. Intertitle - ’Arrival of the Royal yacht and Naval escort at Bangor Bay.’ L/S of the ships on the ocean. M/S as ship sails along. Intertitle - ’Passing Belfast’s famous shipyards.’ The front of a ship sails past the dockyards which are visible in the background. Intertitle - ’The arrival at Donegal Quay.’ People line the side of the quay and the flags are out, we see them from the point of view of the ship. Queen Mary and King George V go down the steps from the yacht onto the quay. Intertitle - ’The progress through the city.’ L/S of the long procession as it rides down the road past cheering crowds. Intertitle - ’Arrival at City Hall and Inspection of Guard.’ We see marching soldiers in bearskin helmets followed by two cars. People in the crowd stand up to see the procession.
