Woodturning - This Was Totally Unexpected!

So the plan for this video was to turn a Christmas tree with last year’s Christmas tree. However, when I started to turn this wood it was splitting and tearing all over the place so I decided to keep turning until I got to a usable piece of wood. For some reason, the idea to turn it into a honey dipper came to my mind, and then I thought it’d be a great idea to turn a honey pot. It was totally unexpected for me as my plan went completely out of the window but I decided to just go with it. Sometimes my best work comes from moments like this. The pot is made from American black walnut that has been sanded to 10000 grit and finished with sanding sealer and wood wax. The lid is also black walnut and the handle is made from Zebrano. Let me know what you think! Axminster tools used in this video:
