Lumen Guitar Trio plays Laideronnette by Maurice Ravel | Siccas Media (2021)

We are happy to present the French guitar trio called the Lumen Trio (Bogdan Mihailescu, Thomas Riamon and Florian Colombet ) playing the Laideronnette by Maurice Ravel. Part of a suite called Ma mere L’Oye, Laideronnette, impératrice des pagodes (Little Ugly Girl, Empress of the Pagodas) was originally written by Maurice Ravel in 1910 as a five-movement piano duet and one year later was arranged by the composer for orchestra. This suite was composed for his friends’ children Mimi and Jean Godebski, ages 6 and 7 and it was inspired by a tale (The Green Serpent) written by Madame d’Aulnoy.
