Never Meant but it’s Symphony Orchestra

I decided to arrange Never Meant by American Football (aka one of the best songs every written) for Orchestra while demoing the new BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover by Spitfire Audio. Everything you hear in the video was done with that library (even the percussions, timpani, xylophone, marimba...). It was quite a challenge because the song is pretty much loop-based and orchestral arrangement is, well... the opposite! So I added lots of layers, variations, and dynamics in order to make the song flow more smoothly. The way it was originally written, it was definitely never meant (....get it?) to be arranged as orchestral composition, but I still had tons of fun doing it. I used tuned percussive instruments like marimba, celesta, xylophone and harp for the main themes and arpeggios. Clarinets and violins are playing the main vocal theme, which is also sometimes reinforced by trumpets and flutes. Horns, Cellos and strings sections fill the rest of the space.
