Out takes (cuts, rushes) for THE WORLD’S LARGEST PARACHUTE in G 1324. The original story is also on Pathe Master tape *PM0630*. Interior. Various shots of parachute being laid out on long table in workshop. We see it being folded into bundle and sewn into a pack. Intertitle reads: “Each parachute is tested twice with a 200lb weight before being issued for use“. Various shots of pilots and a cameraman getting into aeroplanes and preparing for flight. Panning L/S of aeroplane taking off. Aerial shot from aeroplane of weight attached to parachute being dropped from plane and floating down to ground. Incredible slow motion shots of man (possible mannequin) free falling from aeroplane. L/S, taken from ground of his parachute opening. We see the man land in a field. M/S of man walking along wing of plane, looks like he is about to jump. It looks as if we are supposed to believe plane is in flight, although it is fairly obvious it is grounded.
