Episode 2: Sağyndym senı - Dos-Muqasan by NU Orchestra [5th Grand Concert: The Symphony of Cinema]

The second composition of our concert is a legendary hit song of the 70s - “Sağyndym senı“ by Dos-Muqasan! Dos-Mukasan is a Kazakh vocal and instrumental ensemble created by students of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute in 1967 in Almaty. “Sağyndym senı“ was composed by the well-known Kazakh composer Yeskendir Khasangaliev with lyrics written by the famous poet Bakir Tazhibaev. The interpretation of the song by Dos-Mukasan represents sentimental and dreamy sounds of the guitar which expresses the lover’s feeling of longing delivered in the lyrics. Nowadays, “Sağyndym senı“ has been used as a soundtrack of modern Kazakh films such as “Sweetie, You Won’t Believe It“.
