Afghanistan: Security forces and militia push back Taliban in Takhar capital

Subscribe to our channel! Numerous Afghan militia forces were seen preparing their weapons and posts to face off the Taliban in Taloqan, capital of Takhar province, Friday. Thirteen Taliban fighters have been killed after their offensive on Taloqan was repulsed on Friday and Saturday, according to local reports. With the help from militiamen and US airstrikes, the Afghanistan National Defence Security Forces (ANDSF) have started pushing back against the Taliban in 20 provinces amid heavy fighting. “Every night the Taliban attack us 10 to 20 times, we have severe advances against them, and we push them back,“ Khan Mohammad, a militia commander said. “We are ready in any condition, we sacrifice our blood to defend our people, land and honour, we are ready to do our jobs in any situation, we sacrifice our lives but do not leave our post,“ Special Forces officer Zainal Abuddine added.
