Jion is considered by many to be one of the best Kata to practice in Shotokan Karate. The Kata itself is very basic technically speaking, but the truth is in order for this Kata to be performed well, one needs a high understanding of karate principles. To me, Kata Jion is one of my favorite and most useful Kata to practice. It provides a great workout, zen concentration due to its length, and overall fun. Please enjoy the video!
