Lupin III 「 AMV 」 Return

One of the central characters in this story is a seemingly kind-hearted girl called Matea Farah, who suffers from amnesia. This AMV contains some spoilers for that plot line. When i first choose “Cells“ by “The Servant“ for this AMV, it was supposed to become more Lupin centered. But after working with the footage, i wanted this video to be more about Matea. I liked the idea of her being a monster that he partly created and now has to deal with. For this idea, this song wasn’t 100% the right choice, which led to stagnation in editing. So I reworked the concept a couple of months later and fused both ideas into one. After that, editing went smoothly. This is my 50th main AMV. It also uses Part 6, which was released for the 50th Anniversary of Lupin III Anime. It’s also my 10th AMV to Lupin III. A lot of big numbers here. Special thanks to Sojiro for support and beta test, and shout-outs to EvilSpider, who used this song before in his AMV “Revenge“, a video that i treasure to this day. The monochrome parts towards the end of this video are an homage to it.
