HOW TO build a Chicken Coop | DIY backyard chicken coop for Canadian climate | JR’S Life Hey Everyone and WELCOME/WELCOME BACK to the JR’S Life channel! Here in episode 2 I’m sharing the behind the scenes of how I built my custom chicken coop aka Cluckingham Palace :) Check out the completed tour here: The coop currently houses our 3 hens and they are thriving in there with lots of space for all of their needs. MEASUREMENTS:This coop measures 6”L x 3”W x 7”H with a 6”L x 8”W x 7”H run. I used 2x4’s for the entire structure, except the legs which were 4x4. The legs from the ground to the bottom of the chicken coop are 36 inches, and the supports for the legs are 16 inches. I custom finished the exterior using a wood burning technique called Sho Sugi Ban. You can check out more about this process in my upcoming video.
