RAF Music | Ceremony of the Keys at Tower of London

DON’T FORGET TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Ceremony of the Keys from the Tower of London. This is a short documentary story about the our involvement in this historic and fascinating ceremony. Our Trumpeter – Cpl Rosbottom – was tasked to sound the Last Post and we followed him for the evening. Set amidst the mighty battlements of this ancient historic fortress, the Ceremony of the Keys is one of the oldest surviving enactments of its kind. Although the monarch may no longer reside at the Tower, the Crown Jewels and many other invaluable objects still do, therefore its importance is still relevant today. Royal Air Force Music provides musical support for the Royal Air Force to enhance public perception, support State Ceremonial events and achieve influence to further Defence and National interests. They do this by performing at over 900 events throughout the year both in the UK and overseas. Based at RAF Northolt and RAF College Cranwell, RAF Music comprises of; 3 regular bands (the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, Band of the Royal Air Force College and Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment), the Royal Air Force Salon Orchestra and the Band of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force. In addition, each band breaks down into smaller ensembles and includes the renowned big bands: Royal Air Force Squadronaires, Royal Air Force Swing Wing and Royal Air Force Shades of Blue.
