Ukraine controls large part of Russian territory, claims top military commander

Ukraine’s top military commander has said his forces now control 1,000 square kilometres of Russia’s neighbouring Kursk region. General Oleksandr Syrskyi made the statement in a video posted to Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel. President Putin has called an emergency meeting of security chiefs and ordered his military to kick the Ukrainians out.
