Frith - Prince with a Thousand Enemies (full ep, 2023)

Our second feature of Dungeon Synth Sunday this week takes us to the warrens of Sandleford to meet the disciples of Frith in the beautifully atmospheric retelling of the tales of Watership Down, by the UK artist, Orcus. “All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.” Fiadh Productions have produced a cassette release of Frith’s Prince With a Thousand Enemies, based on the Richard Adams’ book, and conveyed here through Orcus’ distinct affecting pastoral ambience. As Fiadh put it: “Lo-fi forest synth that is wonderfully soothing yet inspiring wonder, much like the books.” Available now from Fiadh in a limited edition of 40 full-body white-shell, film poster print cassette with full-color J-card in clear Norelco cases Digital format available from Orcus’ Wych Elm bandcamp page.
