’Russia’s GDP growth at 3.5 percent this year’ Putin holds first annual press conference in 2 years

Russian President Vladimir Putin held an annual press conference and phone-in on Thursday (December 14), the first time since Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. The top leader talked about Russia’s economic issues and relations with the West. Conditions were not in place yet for normalisation of relations with Europe, Putin said. Answering an early question from one of the two moderator’s at the event held in Moscow, Putin said one of the main tasks for Russia as was to ensure its sovereignty as a nation.
