The TRUE EVOLUTION of POST-HARDCORE (1980-2010 MUSIC ERA) From Hardcore Punk to Prog Punk & more

After listening to a lot of songs from almost 20 years and having more than 2,000 songs on my playlists sorted by genre I think I can talk about this: STOP CALLING POST HARDCORE A GENRE, IT IS NOT ONE. I think it should be named PROGRESSIVE PUNK, ALT PUNK or other labels (this will depend on the subgenres fused, and I don’t want to impose labels but those are more correct). That’s what it has evolved into... And it will keep evolving, so the songs from this era need to have a good subgenre name. I don’t feel it’s the same genre depending of the route, mainly modern one from 2010 to 2020 (alt rock, prog rock, metal, pop...). We could use other names but I don’t know what it would be the most correct term for those, specially those songs mixed with metalcore (If you think Proggresive Metalcore is a good name, it’s not. Most of the bands doesn’t have that Prog Punk sound anymore). If you talk about Post-hardcore you need to understand that you are talking about an era of some punk
