The Temple With Indented Niches at Ai Khanoum | Greco-Bactrian Kingdom

My first attempt at a historical reconstruction. The ancient Greco-Bactrian temple at Ai Khanoum, Afghanistan, 3rd century B.C.. A Hellenistic Period temple fusing Greek, Achaemenid Persian and Bactrian elements, dedicated to a syncretic form of Zeus. In all likelihood, the god Zeus-Mithra, or perhaps Zeus-Ahura-Mazda. This artistic 3D reconstruction is based on archaeological reports, the floor plan uncovered after excavations, and a healthy dose of speculation based on its historical context. Made by Malcolm K. K. Quartey (Sundiata Q), using Blender.
