Mass Effect often has references (subtle and not so much) to real life conflicts. Among them is the geth vs. quarian conflict which resembles in many ways some of the well known conflicts in the Middle East, including the Israeli / Palestine conflict. We help out Tali and her people in this episode, while also looking to broker peace with Legion and recognize the geth’s right to exist. Can the quarians, who were kicked out of the homeworld, find a place again in the universe or be forced to wander in the desert of the stars. Yes, the subtle nods are there.
