Kids on their new ATVs - TaoTao Coolster 125 (135D)

Some ground based activities for a change. The girls (8 and 11 years old) have been showing a lot of responsibility lately and we decided they were mature enough to start riding with mom and dad. We decided on two low cost import ATVs for their first taste. They were part of the assembly process which was really a great learning experience for them. They have been helping me with my latest airplane build, but now they have their own rides to wrench on! Before they were “set free“, I ran through a basic ATV safety course with them, in which they showed very good retention of the skills needed for safe riding. Prior to the ATVs arriving they both took the on-line safety course required by our state and it was fun to see them put the techniques they learned into practice. As soon as the ATVs are registered we will be taking them out on the trails where they will have a lot more room to continue learning.
