The work was written for private performance by an ad hoc ensemble of two pianos and other instruments, and lasts around 25 minutes. X Volière (Aviary) Strings, piano and flute: the high strings take on a background role, providing a buzz in the background that is reminiscent of the background noise of a jungle.
