A call for ceasefire: London to witness pro-Palestine protest on Armistice Day

Founder of Friends of Al-Aqsa, Ismail Patel, has announced that pro-Palestine protests will continue in London, including on Armistice Day on 11 November. He emphasises the day’s spirit of peace and remembrance. Patel also addresses concerns regarding the protest’s proximity to the Cenotaph, stating that the protests will be far from the national war memorial. He adds: “To suggest we pose a risk to the Cenotaph is grossly misleading, divisive and stoking extremist racism.” He reaffirms the peaceful intentions of the protestors and clarified that the demonstration would begin one hour after the traditional remembrance activities, showing respect for the fallen.
