Residents and tourists are posting videos of extreme weather on social media. Wind-bent palm trees fell on the island. Cars had difficulty moving on flooded roads with poor visibility. Tourists flee the beaches in search of shelter, and sun loungers and umbrellas fly along the shore. Several people received minor injuries. In the port of Palma, during a storm, a cruise ship broke away from the pier and collided with a cargo ship. Resort hotels have become unrecognizable after strong winds and rain. The pools have become like swamps filled with dirt and debris. Power outages were also reported. A total of 84 incidents related to flooding and wind have been recorded in Mallorca.
