Bridge over Germany’s Elbe River partially collapses, risk of further destruction remains

A section of the Carola Bridge, one of the bridges spanning the Elbe River in downtown Dresden, Germany, has partially collapsed, impacting the pedestrian and cycle paths as well as local tram tracks. The 100-meter-long constructions remains at risk of further destruction, according to local the Dresden fire department.
