US Republican Senator John Kennedy accused Maya Berry, executive director of the Arab American Institute, of supporting Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran during a hearing on hate crimes in the US on Tuesday. Despite Berry clearly stating she does not support Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, the senator persisted in his line of questioning.
