MERCEDES AMG F1 - EVOLUTION (1954-2021) 1954 - 1955 MERCEDES-BENZ W196 The Mercedes-Benz W196 was a Formula One racing car produced by Mercedes-Benz for the 1954 and 1955 F1 seasons. In the hands of Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss, it won 9 of 12 races entered and captured the only two world championships in which it competed. 2010 MERCEDES MGP W01 The car was revealed at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo near Valencia at the first official test on February 1, 2010. The car was based on a Brawn BGP 001 chassis following the team’s purchase of the championship-winning Brawn GP of 2009. In the 2010 comeback campaign for Mercedes-Benz, Rosberg and Schumacher in their MGP W01s made three podium appearances and scored 214 championship points.
