The Mechanician: A brief history of Charles E. Taylor

May 24th is known as Aviation Maintenance Technician day. The special day was founded in the 1990’s to honor all of the mechanics in the aviation industry and was set on the birthday of the first airplane mechanic, Charles E. Taylor. He worked with the Wright brothers in their bicycle shop in Dayton Ohio and helped the boys design and build the first airplane. There aren’t a lot of people who know his story, so I’m working on a documentary to tell the world about The Mechanician.
