OMORI - lofi/chill mix

“As long as you remember me, I’ll be here...“ OMORI is a game that I beat two days ago at the time of uploading this. However, I can already tell this is going to be a game that will always mean a lot to me. I don’t know why, but I really felt like the OST would translate excellently to lofi. So after I beat the game, that’s the first thing I looked for! I found some great stuff, so I decided to make a playlist showcasing my favorite covers I’ve seen so far. By Your Side... It’s a really nice song, like the “Fallen Down“ of Omori. And this remix is great! 3:43 - White Space (fsnowdin) This somehow takes the emptiness of white space and makes it welcoming, comforting even. I like it! 6:47 - Home For Flowers (proud tax frauder) The compressed sounds on this one adds so much. 8:15 - See You Tomorrow (Yelit) I dunno why, but I always imagined this one being great for lofi covers. And this is a very quality cover! 9:55 - Spaces In Between (musicknight) This is a very pleasant take on one of the creepier Omori tunes, that’s for sure. 13:31 - 𝗟𝗢𝗙𝗜 𝗞𝗘𝗟 (Citadel) I just learned that this mix samples an unused voice clip for Kel! That only makes this better. 15:46 - By Your Side (Yelit) This really is some nice picnic music, huh? Almost makes you forget what happened... Wait, isn’t that what Omori’s trying to do? 18:45 - Crossroads (ryanchang.) This one’s really pleasant. The percussion really hits, and it pairs super well with that compressed piano melody. 22:15 - Trees... (kiyol) Upbeat yet chill. Exactly what I like. 24:13 - Sugar Star Planetarium (GoneGreen) I only now realized the title is a reference to Sweetheart and Spaceboy’s relationship - Sugar and star... Aww.... 26:14 - White Space (Atsupen) I really really love the way this starts and ends. The remixes of this theme are so goood. 27:58 - By Your Side (Ganji Got ’Em) Hey, fun fact. I’m pretty sure the lead instrument to the original and many other Omori songs is the harp from Earthbound! Pretty nice, huh? 31:59 - It Means Everything (ryanchang.) I love that this song has a lofi remix. It’s like if the group chose to overcome their feelings by making relaxing music instead of fighting. 35:36 - 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 (Maxymus) I really like that Omori uses nature sounds in some of the areas of the game alongside the music. It reminds me of my nature walks. That’s just one of many ways Omori relates to me, and I’m glad remixers are doing it too! 39:29 - White Space (Napstaguy04) You’ve been living here as long as you can remember. 41:49 - By Your Side (Citadel) This sounds like one Corridors of Time lofi that I love. I appreciate that a lot. 43:58 - A Home For Flowers (ryanchang.) ryanchang really knocks it out of the park with these remixes! They’re all so so good. 47:21 - Puddles (ジャイAbery) How peaceful! Gotta love some rainy music. 49:23 - White Space (Yelit) Today I visited my friends. Everything was okay. 50:52 - My Time (LDCMN) Close your eyes... 52:21 - Clean Slate (ryanchang.) I really like the usage of leitmotifs in that soundtrack. Always love it when games do that. 55:35 - A Home For Flowers (GoneGreen) Definitely a unique vibe. And that’s what matters most! 57:37 - Remember to be Patient (ryanchang.) This already means so much to me. Oh man, imagine what I’m going to feel listening to this mix ten years from now! 1:00:57 - By Your Side (Ejsu Multimedia) I think this was a good choice to end the mix on. It feels empowering. Like you’ve been through it all and are ready for a new day, no matter what happens. So, so good. Enjoy!
