Flag drops and donkeys get away at start of race. SV. Small boy on donkey coaxing it with carrot, but it will not go. CU. Another small boy trying to get his donkey to go. CU. Man looking through binoculars. GV. Donkeys racing round course. SCU. Two men watching racing, one in top hat. SV. Donkeys racing towards finish, camera pans with one of them, the rider falls off and the donkey canters on. TV. Camera pans as two donkeys come in at the finishing post. CU. Small boy pulling on donkey’s reins still trying to get him to start. SV. Same boy pulling and another pushing, with one sitting on donkey, but he won’t budge. (.) (Title scene F.)
