Death Suite | Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (Original Soundtrack) by Heitor Pereira

Had a super fun time with Puss in Boots despite not being that into the Shrek franchise, and was even more surprised with some of the score in it as well. The main standout being the theme for Death, who was an excellently frightening antagonist. His theme is a piece of diegetic music within the film, being whistled by the character himself as a sign of his imminent danger. He’s also backed by a rumbling seven-note beat that emphasizes the predatory and relentless nature of the character perfectly.
