Manon at the Paris Opera

The first two performances of Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon drawing on the novel by Abbé Prévost and set to music by Jules Massenet have been cancelled due to a strike. Whether the remaining performances will take place remains to be seen. Meanwhile, two of the company’s newest étoiles, Guillaume Diop and Marc Moreau, scheduled to make their debuts as Des Grieux during the run, are featured in this short film (Diop partnered by Amandine Albisson) in rehearsals with Karl Burnett and Agnès Letestu.
