The journey of a bluebird from nesting, laying eggs, hatching, caring for and leaving the nest
After the fledglings leave the nest for the first time, the mother bird continues to care for them during their early days in the wild. Although they are strong enough to fly, the young birds are not yet fully independent and still lack experience in finding food. The mother will continue to guide them, foraging and bringing food to the fledglings in areas close to the old nest. She also teaches them how to search for food such as insects and fruits, as well as how to protect themselves from potential threats.
During this period, the young birds often follow the mother and learn by observing her. This process lasts for a few days to a week, until the fledglings can hunt for themselves and live independently. The continued care from the mother is crucial in helping the young birds develop survival skills in the wild, greatly increasing their chances of survival.
