Dark live performance with the Ableton Push 3 standalone

Please support my work on Patreon: A live synthesizer jam performed entirely on the Ableton Push 3 Standalone, recorded to a stereo audio out. As per my last video (), I’m continuing to build a live set of music that’s also a new album at the same time. I’m going for a specific sound and feeling, dark music you could dance to, in the range of funk rhythms with heavily saturated and driven tones. To construct this song, I used a lot of in-the-box tools. Many of these tools come from Teletone Audio, including Tympo (drums), Retrograde (electric bass), and their trilogy of synths for the various melodics. And as last time, I use Push’s/Live’s Wavetable synth for the fake 303 noodling. If you’re the type to really want to see into how these tracks were made, I’m currently making behind-the-scenes videos for each of these songs. The Push 3 standalone allows me to set up a number of performance macros created mainly within Live first, then untethered. These macros range from a resonator to filters to delays to beat repeats, as well as the filter cutoff for the fake 303. Overall I’m really satisfied with the sound I’m getting out of this approach. I’m still tweaking the live performance aspect, as I find the Push 3 standalone a little less dynamic and fun for performance effects versus the Octatrack. The trade-off is a lot more tracks and effects, which I’ll take. Thanks for listening. Ableton Push 3 Standalone - all sounds and effects and such Many in-the-box sounds used as well, notably Tympo from Teletone Audio, which was used for the drum sounds Recorded and performed live to a stereo channel, with EQ, compression, and limiting on the master.
