GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Devils () | Crosby and Carter Return

Before the game even started, Penguins fans had reason to be excited: Sidney Crosby would be making his season debut and Jeff Carter would be returning to the lineup. When it came time for the puck to drop, Danton Heinen got the scoring started, earning his fourth tally of the year. The Devils’ Johnsson tied things up, 1-1, with only seconds remaining in the opening period. Vesey scored shorthanded to put the Devils up 2-1, and that score would stand until Brock McGinn tallied just over two minutes into the 3rd period. Later in the 3rd, the Devils were awarded a penalty shot, on which Bratt converted. Johnsson scored again into an empty net, and the Devils skated away with a 4-2 win and two points.
