How to make a Nakajikake (kyudo string serving) with kusune and artificial fibers

Намотка волокон на тетиву для японского лука. The wrap has four sections: top, nocking area, kake area and bottom. Top and bottom are serving as “foundations“ to fix it from slipping around. The threads are twisted in the nocking zone (3cm) and kept flat and untwisted in the kake zone. I used no modern glue whatsoever, one softened kusune (pine rosin). As artificial fibers are used (zylon), it is quite resistent against wear, when compared with hemp. To start, cut a spent tsuru in 40cm long pieces and split each in 4-7 individual bundles.
