Run Wrake and Howie had been collaborators and close friends for over 20 years and Down With The Dawn was the final film Run worked on before he tragically died of cancer in 2012. A response to his diagnosis with cancer, it’s a powerful, personal and intimate work; elegiac, certainly, but characteristically unnerving, and a poignant testament to his brilliance.
