West Norwood, London.
Various shots of antique collector Allan Jobson showing several novel objects from his collection to his young son who makes notes.
The antiques are a giant egg-timer, an ancient mousetrap, an 18th century bed-waggon (a sort of cage) used to warm or air beds, a device for docking horses tails or cutting thistles, a stick with a handkerchief tied to the end (Dick Whittington-style), a drinking urn, a small pair of scales, pairs of old fashioned pattens (which kept feet off wet floors) and skates made from bone.
Mr Jobson walks over to a chest of draws and looks at two toys there. One is a figure of an old woman, with hundreds of knickknacks hanging off her basket; the other is a small figure of a man holding onto a curved piece of wood that balances on a stool.
