Russia and Ukraine engaged in a fierce debate at the United Nations Security Council on Monday over the war. Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow is always ready to negotiate peace, but he claimed peace plans presented by Ukraine and its Western “masters” are “only used as cover to continue war and continue getting money from Western taxpayers.” Meanwhile, Ukraine said that Russia is not interested in peace in the region and added that the number of victims has decreased because most Russian missiles do not achieve their targets.
