Maniac (1980) Shotgun Decapitation Scene

The infamous and gloriously fucking brutal shotgun decapitation scene from the 1980 classic “Maniac“. The scene was created by and stars the legendary prosthetic makeup artist and special effects wizard Tom Savini. He is well known for working with fellow legend George A. Romero on such films as Martin, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Creepshow, and Monkey Shines. He is also responsible for the special effects and makeup work on cult classics like Friday the 13th (Part I and IV), The Burning, The Prowler
