Revealing The Pattern In A Blade Forged from Meteorite

#shorts Here’s a process showing how I etch and sharpen a mosaic damascus steel blade I forged with 4.5 billion year old meteorite iron integrated into the pattern. The meteorite iron I used is Muonionalusta meteorite iron that comes from near the small village of Kitkiöjärvi, which was discovered in 1906. It has survived nearly 4 ice ages, and is dated to be one of the oldest meteorites ever recorded. Dating to be older than the Earth and part of the parent body of our solar system. The steel I used is 15n20/ 1084, which I forged into damascus steel into a ’feather’ pattern to represent a meteorite coming into the atmosphere where the meteorite (the circle in the center) is surrounded by ’flames’.
