Secret dice box

Okay it’s actually a die(singular form), but a secret die box would sound just too weird. Anyhow this project uses a bit of woodworking, which I lacked in skill and it shows, as well as some electronics building using a PIC 16F84 microcontroller from Microchip. Really, you could use any micro controller because this project takes only 5 I/O ports and 128 instructions of code. Which I must apologize for, you see . . . I lost my code somewheres in the last 11 years so all I had to present to you fellow PIC project hobbiests is what I could pull from the chip itself so needless to say that all of my remarks are missing as well as the normal clutter that usually is included. But anyhow if you want to use the code then you will have to decipher that muck. I used a variety of different solenoids for my projects and these are just two examples to give you your own ideas. The position sensor is made from brass tubing and the little gold ball that makes contact is actually a gold plated bead that I found at a craf
