Gemini 10 Blast Off AKA Gemini 10 Take Off (1966)

Cape Kennedy (Cape Canaveral), Florida, United States of America / USA LS Gemini 10 on an Agena rocket lifts off from Cape Kennedy on what will be man’s furthest flight ever into outer space. The camera pans up with the rocket as it ascends through the clouds, its vapour trail disappears until all that is visible of the rocket is a dot of light. Finally, there is a distant explosion, possibly as the booster rocket falls away. John Young and Michael Collins are the two astronauts on board. LS Different angle, Agena target rocket lifting off and camera follows it for quite a long while. LS Agena lift off, the rocket goes out top of frame. CU Drawings of the proposed docking in space that the Gemini 10 will make with the target rocket and also with the target rocket of the Gemini 8 flight which is still in space. (5 shots).
