Great Joe Satriani-Inspired Legato Licks

►►Download the lesson files In this video, I will be teaching you five legato licks in E Lydian. Here are some tips for you to make the most out of these licks. 1. On lick number one pay attention to the first finger in your left hand, so you have the position of each phrase locked down. Rhythmically, concentrate on the sixteen notes subdivision. 2. Lick number two is based on sixteen notes triplets. Use the hammer on from nowhere technique to achieve maximum smoothness when changing strings. 3. Lick number three uses some string skipping. Pay attention to your muting technique to avoid unwanted notes, especially on those string skipping passages. Use these licks as starting points to develop your own ideas!
