Snowdrops, snowdrops, little drops of snow - a lovely song to start the New Year

Music by Dany Rosevear. This poem appears to come from the Steiner tradition but I have not as yet discovered the name of the author. My new website is officially launched ready to go. It is still in its infancy but linked to my ’Singing games for children’ site which though functioning fine is a little creaky after 16 years! The new site is user friendly, interactive, will include all of my new songs and steadily all those from its original home. Do let me know what you think of it. Find music, chords and more winter songs visit: A traditional resource for children, teachers, child care providers, librarians, parents and grandparents, ESL, EFL or just nostalgia enthusiasts. Visit: to find many more songs including those from other countries. Snowdrops, snowdrops, little drops of snow, What will you do when the cold winds blow? We’ll hide our little heads and say “Cold wind, cold wind, go away!” Snowdrops, snowdrops, dressed in green and white, What will you do when the sun shines bright? We ring our little bells and sing: “Ting-a-ling, ting-a-ling, here comes spring.”
