11-20-2023 Cottonport, LA - Tornado Damage - Search and Rescue - Debris Scattered - Flash Flooding

On the east side of town, a possible tornado touched down. A local law enforcement officer found three people, injured, inside of a destroyed mobile home. The law enforcement officer heroically crawled in and saved all three, shortly after the tornado passed. Multiple homes did sustain significant damage. A flash flood warning was issued as rain continued to fall on the area, leaving standing water at least 2“ above normally dry ground
