From, “Black Uhuru Alive“. This concert took place in 1986 at the (original) Ritz, in NYC, and more details about musicians and crew is available on the other songs already published on this channel. The master tape of this killer concert ( was shot on analog tape), was removed from the studio before I’d put the finishing touches on it, including the final audio track, and it hurts, all these decades later, to still not to have a pristine video to share with Black Uhuru fans. Nevertheless, for the sake of history, I am attempting to upgrade and reconstitute the video for you, piece by piece. Somehow, a very lousy bootleg copy of “Brutal“ slipped out on the internet years looked so bad I cried, so please enjoy a corrected, better (though not perfect!) video of the song that opened this great concert.
