ZX Spectrum: THE 100 BEST GAMES all years 1982-1992, episode 5/11 - 1986

We take a look at the 100 best games released for the ZX Spectrum 48k and 128k computers in 1986. The developers now start implementing AY music in some of the games, and an AY-interface for the 48k became a popular add-on. 1986 was also the year Sir Clive Sinclair sold the entire Sinclair Computer Product range to Amstrad. This was mainly caused by poor sales of TV80, Sinclair QL and the Sinclair C5 electric vehicle. These failures created financial difficulties for Sinclair. Amstrad’s first Spectrum model was the grey ZX Spectrum 2. It went into production in July 1986 and was presented on 4 September 1986 at the Personal Computer World Show in London.
